On 1 March 2024, a new Act No. 309/2023 Coll. on Conversions of Commercial Companies and Cooperatives and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts (the "Act") comes into force.

The aim of the Act is to implement EU Directive 2019/2121, as well as to create a uniform and transparent framework regulating the various types of domestic and cross-border conversions and changes of legal form of the companies in Slovakia.
