I am an associate at Bird & Bird specialising in corporate law and M&A, focused on advising clients on transactions that reshape their businesses. My work spans joint ventures, shareholder agreements, asset deals and corporate reorganisations - from establishing holding structures to managing complex winding-up processes.
I work closely with finance, regulatory and commercial teams to ensure corporate structures align with both compliance requirements and business objectives. This collaborative approach helps me deliver practical solutions that work in the real world, not just on paper.
The clients I usually work with operate across technology, energy, healthcare and life sciences, and aerospace - sectors where regulatory frameworks are complex and transactions often cross borders. I enjoy the challenge of navigating these complexities and finding creative ways to structure deals that meet the clients' commercial goals.
I qualified at the Portuguese Bar Association and graduated with a Law degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Oporto Law School in 2020. I have since completed an Advanced Post-Graduation in M&A and Corporate Litigation at CIDP, Lisbon Law School (2022) and a Post-Graduation in Corporate Law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon Law School (2024).
Before focusing on corporate and M&A work, I gained experience across employment law, business law, EU law, competition law, civil law and insolvency law through internships in legal departments and Portuguese law firms. This broad foundation helps me spot issues early and understand how different areas of law intersect in corporate transactions.
I work in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and regularly draft operational resolutions, coordinate due diligence, advise on corporate restructuring and support corporate governance processes.
Clients value my responsiveness and strategic thinking. I take time to understand each client's specific needs and business context, which allows me to anticipate challenges and deliver tailored advice that supports their objectives.
