I am a partner in the Finance & Financial Regulation practice. I am a finance and debt capital markets transactional lawyer with more than twenty years of experience.

I regularly assist financial institutions, corporates, fintech companies and digital platforms in connection with various types of finance transactions, both domestic and cross-border.

I have a high level of expertise, particularly in asset-backed finance and securitisation, having structured many deals over the course of my career, including STS, SRT, securitisations, public and private, relating to both performing and non-performing assets.

The transactions which I handle involve clients and asset classes from various industrial sectors, including, in particular, automotive, banking, leasing, renewable energy, and new technologies.

I have a great passion for my work. I particularly enjoy trying to identify and carry out financial operations with innovative structures and new asset classes. In this activity, I love personally overseeing both the structuring and execution phases of the operation, as well as the preliminary research and legal analysis aimed at defining the most efficient legal-financial structure. I also really enjoy drafting and negotiating contracts. I love writing in a style that tries to be as concise, brief, and clear as possible.

During my career, before joining Bird & Bird, I was a partner for more than 15 years at a leading international law firm, where I had the role of co-head of the debt capital markets department in Italy.

• Assistance to a major fintech global leader in AI-powered working capital management solutions, on the launch of its Italian Supply Chain Finance program managed by a digital platform using structured finance, securitisation, and reverse factoring techniques. The deal provides a full-digital management solution for the financing of working capital of corporates, through the involvement of multiple institutional investors.
• Legal assistance to one of the largest Italian industrial companies on its €3.5 billion sustainability-linked revolving credit facility granted by nine banks and financial institutions.
• Legal assistance to leading banks in a private STS securitisation of approx € 1.2 billion value, involving auto loans originated by a major captive bank active in the automotive sector.
• Legal assistance to a captive bank in connection with an SRT and STS auto loans securitisation with a total value of approximately € 419 million. Several leading banks acted as Joint Lead Managers under the transaction. All the notes issued under the securitisation were admitted to trading on the regulated market of Luxembourg. The senior, mezzanine, and class X notes were rated by DBRS and Fitch.
