As an associate in the Human Resources Services Group of Bird & Bird in Italy, my experience of working with major international companies gives me valuable insights into employment matters.

Over the last few years I have developed a specific interest in employment litigation, researching specific insight to advise clients against employees' and former employees' claims.

Companies, academic institutions and other organisations can rely on me for problem solving when they need guidance on labor and employment issues, especially when a lawsuit is threatened or actually filed.

In the past, I achieved a fair number of favorable judgements against employees-actioned lawsuits against a well renowned opera house in Italy and also represented companies in defending numerous employment discrimination and retaliation lawsuits and charges.

During my time practising law, I have realised that the key to a successful case is an in-depth knowledge of the company (i.e., the employer) I am assisting. Therefore I always try to create a connection with the client, getting to know its actual organisation to find the grounds to build a winning case. While facing a lawsuit, any client should know that I will personally manage the issue throughout the whole process, giving feedback whenever possible, always making it feel like the issue is being well taken care of.

I believe that knowing the client and the reasons behind its most crucial decisions goes a long way in helping the same client face possible negative outcomes of said decisions.

My practice deals with all aspects of labour law, including the day-to-day management of HR issues and routine employment relationships, relationships with the trade unions and issues relating to different forms of working activities.

I also advise our clients on issues in self-employment and agency relationships, employment matters in M&A and workplace safety matters. In addition, I advise on issues involving applications and compliance with Legislative Decree no. 231/2001.
