Hannah Moran-Ellis

I am a Legal Director in our international Aviation & Aerospace sector group based in our London office.

With comfortably over a decade in the industry and experience across many different areas within it, I have a real enthusiasm for the aviation sector and a proven ability to get deals closed in a timely way while achieving the best position for our clients.

I trained at a 'magic circle' firm and qualified into the asset finance team where I gained valuable experience over the coming years before joining Bird & Bird where I enjoyed the wider breadth of work covered by the team. The Middle East called to me and I left Bird & Bird to spend five years at Emirates in Dubai where I focused on aircraft finance and leasing transactions from deliveries to redeliveries and everything in between. After Emirates, I spent 14 months working as acting General Counsel at Seraph Aviation Group and these in-house experiences stand me in great stead to contribute to the work of Bird & Bird's aviation team across the network working alongside others with a passion for all things aviation.

The variety of work I have undertaken during my career means I am well placed to provide pragmatic, commercially driven advice and, understanding the priorities and pressures of in-house legal teams, deliver legal solutions and counsel in a way which is easily shared with relevant stakeholders.

Even after hundreds of successfully closed transactions, I still enjoy the satisfaction of closing every deal and love playing a part in the continued success of clients across the industry.
