James Yeung

I am an associate in the Dispute Resolution Group in the Hong Kong office of Bird & Bird.

My practice encompasses a broad range of civil and commercial contentious matters, including shareholder disputes, company and insolvency issues, contractual claims, fraud and asset recovery proceedings. My work covers both litigation and arbitration, and I regularly handle multi-jurisdictional cases across diverse industries. In the regulatory sphere, I advise clients on regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings and assist in settlement negotiations with regulators.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, I worked at a Chinese investment bank, where I focused on corporate finance and equity fundraising. This experience provides me with valuable commercial insights when advising clients on contentious matters.

I am fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
