I am a senior associate in our intellectual property team in Hong Kong. I am experienced in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters.

I have more than 10 years experience in handling local and foreign trade mark prosecution work, including but not limited to, advising clients on international trade mark portfolio management, providing advice on the registrability of trade marks, conducting trade mark clearance searches, devising trade mark filing strategies, handling official actions and contentious proceedings such as trade mark opposition, revocation and invalidation actions, as well as trade mark post registration matters such as trade mark assignments, licenses and security interests. I also advise clients on IP enforcement matters and assist clients in conducting IP due diligence for merger and acquisition projects that involve transactions for intellectual property rights.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I had served in the intellectual property department of the Hong Kong government where I obtained useful insights into the trade mark examination requirements in Hong Kong and gained invaluable experience in handling trade mark hearings before the Hong Kong Trade Marks Registry. With first-hand experience in the public sector, I am well equipped to provide practical advice to clients, particularly on trade mark prosecution matters.
