About Me

As a partner in our Intellectual Property group in London, I am an experienced litigator of complex patent disputes in the life sciences sector.

The focus of my work is on pan-European patent disputes within the pharmaceutical, biological and genetic fields, including litigation pertaining to medical devices. I represent clients before the UK Patents Court, in LCIA arbitration, mediation and oppositions at the European Patent Office.

The nature of patents means I regularly co-ordinate patent litigation strategy with colleagues across Europe, Asia and the United States.

I regularly speak and moderate at conferences on patent law and am a member of the International Association of Intellectual Property, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.

I hold an MSc in molecular biology and a BSc in genetics from the University of British Columbia, a law degree from Dalhousie University and an LLM from the University of Cambridge. What seems a long time ago, I began my legal career at a leading Canadian IP firm in Toronto.
