I am a Senior Associate in our Employment Group in Helsinki, where I assist both our domestic and international clients with employment law issues.
I assist our clients in a wide range of employment law questions related to the different phases of the employment relationship, from drafting employment contracts to terminating employments. My expertise also covers handling employment related disputes and resolving employment issues related to business transactions.
I have worked on employment and labor law issues in business law firms for over 10 years, during which time I also served as the temporary head of an employment law team at another large business law firm. In addition, I have worked as a District Court judge and have also work experience in the Court of Appeals. Due to my background as a judge, I am used to understanding the interests and arguments of both parties in disputes. Employment law disputes – and above all advice to avoid disputes – are indeed one of my areas of specialisation. I also like to give lectures on different employment law topics.
My goal is to offer our customers commercially useful advice. I strive to help our clients solve their legal problems in a straightforward and understanding manner and have been praised for my expertise and comprehensible way of explaining complex issues.
I enjoy the international nature of my work and I am happy to handle assignments in Finnish as well as in English. I am a member of the Finnish Bar Association and have trained at the bench.
