Katariina Leino

I work as a Senior Associate in our Corporate Transactions and Corporate Law group in Helsinki. I assist both domestic and international clients with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate law assignments.

I joined Bird & Bird after graduating from the University of Helsinki in spring 2021. During my studies, I worked as a trainee at another large international law firm and several Finnish law firms. At Bird & Bird, I regularly advise our domestic and foreign clients on corporate transactions and daily corporate law matters. Additionally, I am often involved in assignments related to financing.


I enjoy working in a challenging environment with a solution-oriented approach. I would describe myself as efficient yet meticulous. I am a proactive and adaptable colleague who takes responsibility for my work, understands clients' needs, and considers commercial perspectives in assignments. The best part of M&A assignments is their multidimensionality, and through my work, I have learned a lot about other practices such as employment law.
