As an associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in Hamburg, I advise our national and international clients on Patent, Trade mark and Unfair Competition law with a particular focus on infringement proceedings in the field of non-technical and technical intellectual property rights.
I advise clients across a variety of sectors, particularly in patent disputes and cross-border litigation but also in relates areas, including regulatory aspects related to pharmaceuticals and medical devices. My practice focuses on patent litigation before the civil courts but I also participate in proceedings before the European Patent Office and the Federal Patent Court.
Another focus is the development and defence of trade mark portfolios, which includes litigation as well as application, opposition and cancellation proceedings before civil courts, the GPTO and the EUIPO.
Moreover, I have gained substantial experience in coordinating and advising on global litigation projects, including in particular the drafting of complex contracts in connection with intellectual property rights.
During my legal studies I specialised in German and European economic law and, after graduation, worked as a research assistant for an international tax and commercial law firm in Düsseldorf.
I completed my legal traineeship in Lübeck, Hamburg and Kiel and focused on economic law. During this time I worked at an international law firm, where I gained my professional and practical experience.
