I am a patent litigator and a solicitor advocate with a background in life sciences. My clients are a diverse mix ranging from start-ups, charities and biotech companies to large, international pharmaceutical companies.
I work with clients to understand their products and technologies, their commercial imperatives and the relevant patent landscapes to develop strategies that will aid clients achieve their objectives, be it through litigation, arbitration or other forms of engagement with counterparties. In the life sciences space, I work across the sector with generics, biosimilars, originators and biotech companies, and also provide strategic advisory, regulatory and transactional support when needed.
I am an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and a member of AIPPI UK.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I spent a nine-month secondment at a specialist and multi-functional legal tech delivery team tasked with providing innovative and transformational technology solutions for client needs, specifically to provide legal input and assist in the management of various projects.
I hold a first degree in Life Sciences (a concentration in Biomedical Sciences) from the National University of Singapore and a second bachelor's degree in Law from the School of Excellence in Law, India. While reading for my degree in Singapore, I also interned at the Genome Institute of Singapore and the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. I began my legal career as an advocate in India, and subsequently qualified as a solicitor in the UK, also obtaining Higher Rights of Audience in civil litigation as a solicitor advocate in the process.
Outside of work, I am a school governor at Eastlea Community School in London. I was on the Attorney General's Pro Bono Recognition List for 2025, and am passionate about disability, diversity and inclusivity issues, stemming from my lived experience.
