I am a junior associate in the Finance and Financial Regulation team of Bird & Bird's Warsaw office.
I advise financial institutions, including banks, investment firms, lending institutions, and payment institutions, as well as other entities from the financial sector, including FinTech. I support clients in ensuring compliance with applicable and rapidly changing regulatory requirements. I also advise financial sector entities on compliance with consumer finance laws and regulations.
I specialise in advising on the use of new technologies by entities in the financial sector. I am particularly interested in the application of blockchain technology and the implementation of tokenisation within financial services. I also pursue these interests at an academic level, researching and analysing, among other things, European Union legal regulations concerning the functioning of crypto-assets in economic and legal transactions.
Outside of work, I am active in academia. I am the author of numerous academic publications on domestic and European financial regulations. This allows me to stay abreast of legal regulations, as well as the views of legal scholars and case law, which enables me to better understand complex legal issues and problems.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained professional experience at renowned Polish law firms, where I provided legal services to clients, including analysis of the legal and regulatory environment relevant to clients' business activities and ensuring that business procedures implemented by clients complied with legal requirements.
