I am a junior associate at the Finance and Financial Regulation team of Bird & Bird's Warsaw office.
I advise financial services institutions, banks, payment institutions and other entities in the financial sector, including FinTech. I assist them in ensuring that their operations comply with the current, rapidly changing requirements of the regulatory environment.
I specialise in advising on new technologies used by financial sector entities. My particular interest is the use of blockchain technology and tokenisation in the finance services sector. I also pursue these interests academically as a researcher and analyst of EU regulations on the use of crypto-assets in commercial transactions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in my day-to-day work, I also provide legal advice to traditional operators in the area of finance.
Outside office hours, I am active as an academic researcher. I speak at scientific conferences and write academic papers, which keeps me abreast of the most recent developments in the law, legal commentaries and case law. I believe that combining my academic interests in law with my professional work in Bird & Bird's highly skilled Finance and Financial Regulation team allows me to better develop as a lawyer and, by doing so, enhance my professional qualifications.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained professional experience in reputable Polish law firms, where I helped ensure the compliance of my clients' business procedures with the legal requirements and analysed the legal and regulatory status of their operations. Additionally, I have experience in advising on transactional processes.
