Raquel Alcantara

I am an associate in the Finance & Financial Regulation department at Bird & Bird in the Madrid office.

I am a junior associate at Bird & Bird's Madrid office. She is a member of the banking and finance department.

I specialise in providing legal and regulatory advice on financial transactions and financial regulation.

I have participated in various financial transactions, including both domestic and cross-border corporate financing, real estate financing, project finance, venture debt, and bond issuances, advising both lenders and borrowers.

I provide regulatory advice to credit institutions, payment institutions, electronic money institutions, insurers, investment firms, investment funds and fund managers, in relation to their incorporation, authorisation and the provision of domestic and cross-border financial services.

I hold a law degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, a master's degree for admission to the Bar and a master's degree in business law from Universidad de Navarra. In addition, I hold an LLM in American Law Practice, specialising in international transactions from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
