About Me

I am a senior associate in our Corporate & Real Estate practice in Hong Kong.

I have a broad range of experience in advising multinational and local private equity funds and developers in numerous significant property transactions by way of share deals in Hong Kong. Alongside, I have worked on diversified range of asset acquisitions and disposals, conveyancing projects and real estate financing works. I am currently a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) as well as an arbitrator on the panel of Guangzhou Arbitration Commission and Dongguan Arbitration Commission.

I am devoted to serving the community and the legal profession (including my legal practice in commercial real estate).

I serve as a member of the Steering Committee on Rule of Law Education chaired by the Secretary for Justice of HKSARG, the Appeal Panel (Housing) of the Housing Bureau of HKSARG, the Liquor Licensing Board of the HKSARG, the Education Working Group of the Environmental Campaign Committee, the All-China Youth Federation, the Hong Kong Government's Election Committee (the fifth sector), the Standing Committee of Member Services of the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Young Lawyers' Committee of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, a nonprofit organisation for the legal profession within the Commonwealth. I am currently also an Advisor on Panel of Film Censorship under the Film Censorship Ordinance (Chapter 392 of the laws of Hong Kong).

Separately, I also assume various leading positions in nonprofit organisations and professional bodies, including Chairlady of the Greater China Legal Affairs Young Solicitors' Sub-Committee and the Organising Committee of Teen Talk of the Law Society of Hong Kong; Vice Chairlady of Y Legalites, a young lawyers' platform, Council Member of Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association, Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong-registered Chapter of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, as well as Vice President of Hong Kong Shanxi Chamber of Commerce and Hong Kong Stone Industrial and Commercial Chamber.

In 2022, I have passed the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Legal Professional Examination. I am also awarded with two honours in the same year, namely, LexisNexis® 40 UNDER 40, which is an exclusive industry recognition that selects 40 young professionals who are 40 years old or younger and show tremendous potential to grow, and motivation to lead the development of the legal sector in Greater China, and FSERA®, fellowship of Social Enterprise Research Academy, an organisation which is committed to promoting sustainable development in various communities around the world by fostering a culture of social responsibility.

In 2024, I am awarded the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Award - Best Commercial Services by the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance. This award aims to recognize the young entrepreneurs in Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland China on their contributions and achievements in the Greater Bay Area.

  • Advised a U.S. private equity fund and its joint-venture partner cum operator on the following (including post-completion leasing arrangements, intra-group transfer and change of building names):
  • Its HK$850 million acquisition of an investment vehicle which owns an industrial building in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong;
  • Its HK$283 million acquisition of an investment vehicle which owns an industrial building in Fanling, Hong Kong;
  • Its HK$486 million acquisition of an investment vehicle which indirectly owns an industrial building in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong
  • Advised a renowned conglomerate on its HK$13.5 billion acquisition of the investment vehicles which own the whole or part(s) of 9 warehouses in Hong Kong.
  • Advised a renowned conglomerate on its HK$1.6 billion disposal of an investment vehicle which owns a warehouse in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong to a PRC state-owned enterprise.
  • Advised a consortium led by an established local developer in its HK$10.48 billion acquisition of an investment vehicle which owns a composite development block comprising offices and retail portions. This was the largest single-block office tower transaction by deal size in Hong Kong in 2021.
  • Advised a private equity funds' joint venture on its HK$900 million acquisition of an investment vehicle(s) holding a hotel in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a renowned family in Hong Kong on the HK$4.6 billion acquisition of an investment vehicle holding a residential site at the Peak, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a consortium of investors on the HK$7.5 billion acquisition of an investment vehicle which indirectly owns a 28-storey Grade A office building in Kowloon East, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a local family office in its HK$1.44 billion disposal of the investment vehicles holding a 19-storey office tower in Kowloon East, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a family office in Taiwan on the HK$1.888 billion disposal of an investment vehicle which owns a 23-storey commercial complex in Causeway Bay.
  • Advised a private equity fund on its HK$1.336 billion disposal of investment holding companies which indirectly owns 5 office floors, 16 car parking spaces and a signage area at Enterprise Square Three on 39 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon.
  • Advised a private equity fund on its HK$892 million acquisition of parts of ground, first and second floors of a composite building in Wanchai, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a private equity fund on its HK$770 million acquisition of certain interests in an investment vehicle which indirectly owns a majority part of a shopping mall at Tsimshatsui.
  • Advised property developers and investors on numerous acquisitions of shopping centres and carparks from Link Properties Limited by way of tender.
  • Advised investors on strata sale of carparks acquired from Link Properties Limited (including preparation of sub-deed(s) of mutual covenant).
  • Advised a Hong Kong listed company in its acquisition of several old residential buildings in Eastern Street, Hong Kong for redevelopment purposes.
