As a Legal Director in our London-based Tax Group, I have wide-ranging experience to offer our clients, with over 25 years' experience in tax matters at major city firms.

Today, I advise a diverse mix of clients including financial institutions, funds, corporates and individuals on tax issues, often including disputed tax issues or those with an international element. I have a wealth of experience in corporate, banking, funds, transport, media, tech and private wealth tax matters.

Working with diverse businesses often on complex tax issues, my aim is always to understand the business needs and drivers of our clients so as to put tax issues in context. Often working in cross-departmental teams of lawyers, it is vital that tax is thought about from the beginning of a transaction so that key concerns are understood and addressed. Clients need to hear solutions not problems – explaining tax issues to non-tax experts in clear and straightforward terms is always my goal.

With clients' affairs increasingly multi-jurisdictional, I enjoy coordinating cross-border tax advice and working with tax colleagues around the globe to best deliver advice to clients. My tax work has taken me as far afield as Japan, Brazil and the Caribbean.
