As an associate in our Munich office, I specialise in life science patent law, focusing on infringement and nullity proceedings before German courts and the Unified Patent Court.

I advise pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies on the protection and enforcement of their patent portfolios. My work centres on patent infringement proceedings before German courts and the Unified Patent Court, as well as nullity actions before the Federal Patent Court and opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office.

My counselling approach is pragmatic and results-oriented. I believe that an effective IP strategy requires not only thorough legal analysis but also a deep understanding of the commercial realities facing life sciences companies to deliver proceedings that are not only successful but also valuable. This means paying meticulous attention to technical details whilst never losing sight of the bigger picture.

My technical background allows me to quickly grasp complex scientific concepts and translate them into compelling legal arguments. Before joining Bird & Bird, I completed my qualification as a German and European patent, trademark and design attorney with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnology innovations at an IP boutique firm in Munich.
