I am an Associate in the Intellectual Property Group in London with a particular focus on the life sciences and healthcare sectors.
I have a keen interest and extensive experience in a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious matters for pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare clients. I've worked with pharmaceutical and medical device suppliers and distributors, hospitals, aged care and disability service providers, private health insurers and software providers, among a variety of other companies that operate in the life sciences and healthcare space.
Although I specialise in life sciences and healthcare, I also have experience in the technology, media and telecommunications sector, particularly in data protection and privacy laws, and software and IP licensing.
Drawing from my scientific background, as I studied pharmacology at university, I proactively bring analytical and problem-solving skills to my matters. In addition to appreciating the complexity and technicality of IP issues in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, I am experienced with providing pragmatic advice to clients who seek commercial and strategic guidance beyond the legal analysis.
My past experience consists of assisting with patent litigation in the Federal Court of Australia, advising on the regulation of software as a medical device and other therapeutic goods (including in relation to market authorisation and advertising), drafting commercial agreements for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, drafting privacy policies and consents, and conducting commercial due diligence investigations in highly regulated industries (such as private health insurance, aged care and medical devices).
