Vivian Ju

I am a paralegal in our Intellectual Property Group, based in Hong Kong, focusing on patent and design prosecution matters.

I have been working in the legal field for over 23 years and my experience in handling all stages of the process involved in the prosecution of a wide variety of IP registrations, particularly patents and designs related matters spans over 12 years.

• A core component of my role is working with our IP teams in our China offices and across our international network. I mainly focus on patent and design prosecution matters and have assisted clients in prosecuting patent applications in China, Hong Kong and other jurisdictions. In addition, I also handle renewals, assignments and license recordals for clients.

• Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked in a law firm focusing on IP litigation proceedings. I have been working extensively on preparing cease and desist letters and court documents; management of IP portfolio, including a wide range of services for clients throughout the patent, trade mark and design lifecycle; conducting searches for potential infringing activities; tracing the sources of the infringing products and gathering evidence from investigator for prosecution.
