Status

The accompanying implementing legislation, called the "DSA-Begleitgesetz" (DSA Accompanying Act) was adopted in the national legislative process at the end of 2023 and published in the Federal Law Gazette on 30 December 2023. It comes came into force on 17 February 2024. With the DSA-Begleitgesetz, the new "Koordinator-für-digitale-Dienste-Gesetz" (Coordinator for Digital Services Act) is was enacted and the KommAustria Act, the E-Commerce Act, the General Civil Code, the Copyright Act, the Court Fees Act, the Media Act, the Code of Criminal Procedure 1975, the Public Prosecution Act, the Federal Act on Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters with the Member States of the European Union, the Extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance Act and the Telecommunications Act 2021 are were amended.
