Initial steps taken / early stages of implementation
The presentation of the government’s proposal is expected in March 2026 (week 11/2026 i.e. week commencing as of March 9, 2026). The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has set up a statement request by February 9, 2026, concerning the content of the draft government bill. The target is that the directive would be implemented by May 18, 2026, in Finland.
