Initial steps taken / early stages of implementation
In Ireland, draft legislation to implement the Directive in Ireland is still awaited. In the Irish Government’s spring legislation programme, it states that a Heads of Bill to transpose the EU Pay Transparency Directive is being prepared. However, it is not listed as priority legislation for publication or drafting in the Spring legislative term. This suggests that it may be Q2 before there is progress on the legislation.
