Passionate about making the legal profession in Belgium more diverse? So are we. Our office has been engaged in and actively rolled out programmes including the Women in Leadership and Law (WILL) programme, the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance (LDIA) and our Ladies@Bird network.
We’re on a journey to reduce our CO2 emissions wherever possible. Most recently, we’ve been focused on green transportation, installing charging points for electric vehicles and investing in electric bikes for our colleagues to run errands.
In Belgium, every new lawyer must take on pro bono work to become a full-fledged lawyer. You can count on our full support to meet this requirement. From a global perspective, we’re also a pro bono partner for Fedora, the European platform supporting opera and ballet, and which counts Belgian institutions La Monnaie/De Munt and Muziektheater Transparant among its members.
We’re an outward-looking firm. We're interested in the world, current issues, and emerging trends and we work with great clients doing great things. Things that have a real impact on the way the world does business, and how we all live. So, it's not surprising that we also want to have a positive influence by supporting our local communities.
We work alongside our clients to champion initiatives that make an impact on the community around us. And our people dedicate time through volunteering and fundraising, and partner with charities across the world to truly amplify our impact.
You can apply for our junior associate positions and work experience opportunities throughout the year. For internships, you can send in your application at any time. In your application, please tell us about your academic achievements, why you want to work with us and which practice area interests you most. If you join us, you will be given the chance and all the support you need to develop beyond your own expectations.
When you apply for a vacancy, your application will be reviewed by one of the partners. If your application is successful you will be invited for an interview conducted by a partner and our HR manager and complete some tests. This interview is a general interview aimed at getting to know you better. We will of course discuss your legal skills, but we are also interested in your personal interests and opinions. Depending on the size of the team and whether it is a short or longer term role you will have one or two further interviews when you will be introduced to more members of the practice area.
Following the final interview we will let you know what our decision is as soon as possible.
