The EU Pay Transparency Directive introduces significant new compliance obligations for employers across the European Union.

While implementation is progressing slowly and the precise details of national implementing laws are still unknown, employers should begin their compliance preparations now.  Such steps should include auditing existing pay practices, building transparency into pay structures, reviewing existing recruitment policies and practices, and making necessary changes to pay reporting requirements.  Taking such steps sooner rather than later will help ensure readiness for the upcoming obligations.

The path to compliance will vary from one organisation to the next, but this checklist offers practical guidance for mapping out your journey.  Whilst it focuses on the new and incoming obligations under the Directive, your organisation may already be subject to, and should therefore also consider, existing requirements under local legislation.

Our International Employment team can support your internal compliance journey and your strategic preparations. Contact your local team to discuss how we can help.
