I am a Spanish lawyer specialised in EU regulatory law, with a university background in environmental sciences and a focus on chemicals, agrochemicals, and biological alternatives for agriculture.
I advise clients on approval and registration procedures for plant protection products, fertilisers, biostimulants, and biocontrol solutions, with a strong emphasis on cases in Spain. I have extensive experience in administrative and judicial proceedings before Spanish authorities, including the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment, and Health, as well as regional governments.
In recent years, I have focused on the development and application of new biotechnologies, supporting the transition towards a more sustainable agriculture and food chain. I am actively involved in the development of new EU and national legislation in this area and working to raise awareness of the importance of a balanced transition to new biotechnologies for plant health and nutrition, while continuing to ensure the highest safety standards for conventional agrochemical substances already in the market.
I have an original university background in environmental sciences, a degree in Law, and a master's degree in European Union law from the Carlos III University of Madrid, where I continue to participate as a member of the Academic Council and guest lecturer on the EU internal market and public health.
I am a qualified lawyer member of the Madrid and Brussels Bar Associations, a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and speak intermediate French.
