Alex Ross

I am a Senior LegalTech Solutions Executive at Bird & Bird. Our team's mission is to create, support and promote great LegalTech Solutions for Bird & Bird and our clients. We work across all practices and sectors globally supporting on legal matters with LegalTech, driving efficiency and a modern client experience.

As part of the Bird & Bird LegalTech Solutions team, I advise and support our lawyers in their day-to-day use of legal technology. I also showcase how Bird & Bird leverages technology to enhance client services.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I spent several years with a market-leading artificial intelligence platform for legal document review, operating out of the UK and the US. My role encompassed all aspects of client-facing technology project delivery, from trials and implementation phases to everyday tool usage. I also attended and spoke at LegalTech conferences on adoption strategies and alternative use cases in the UK and the US. I thoroughly enjoyed working with a wide range of clients—from global top 100 law firms to FTSE 250 in-house teams—across the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East. This experience offered invaluable insights into effectively handling various use cases, stakeholders, and user requirements.

More recently, I completed a Diploma in Software Engineering. This, combined with my legal tech domain expertise, provides a unique viewpoint for developing bespoke solutions tailored to support our lawyers and clients as effectively as possible.

• Supporting on the delivery of an AI tool to review over 200,000 documents in 2.5 weeks by 2 Bird & Bird associates for a vendor due-diligence exercise out of Germany thereby successfully increasing the deal value for the client.
• Supported Bird & Bird lawyers in Poland on a DPIA document review leveraging AI for a aviation client
• Providing training and demonstrations on LegalTech platforms to clients & users
