Alexandra Mützelburg

I am a partner based in Munich with a focus on energy law. I advise on regulatory aspects of energy law, focusing primarily on project developers, financial investors, banks, insurers, and energy utilities.

My practice focuses on guiding clients through the planning, realisation and acquisition of complex energy projects, including renewable generation, electric vehicle charging, battery energy storage, C&I solutions and emerging technologies such as green hydrogen and bio-gas. I provide strategic and practical advice on procurement and erection, permitting, grid connection and remuneration under European and German subsidy schemes.

I support clients in structuring and negotiating on-site and off-site Corporate PPAs, as well as Heat-Hydrogen and Bio-LNG Supply Agreements and Tolling Agreements for battery storage projects. In addition, I advise on EPC and O&M contracts and work with clients to develop sector-coupled renewable energy and heat projects, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks for energy supply, trading and emissions.

Alongside my client work, I deliver expert lectures and webinars on topics such as the Renewable Energy Sources Act, hydrogen regulation under EU and German law, emissions trading and e-mobility.
