Anders Nilsson

In 2014, I moved from our firm's Stockholm office to become Head of Country for the UAE and also Head of our Corporate and Aviation practices for the Middle East. I bring astute commercial awareness and cross-border expertise to corporate negotiations and transactions.

As an experienced corporate and M&A specialist, I advise our multinational clients on public and private M&A, including takeovers and IPOs. I also act for blue chip local and regional clients on general cooperate matters such as corporate set up and restructuring, Joint Ventures and cooperation arrangements. I regularly advise international clients in the region in relation to their set up of operations as well as acquisition or divestment of local operations. In total I have 21 years of corporate law experience.

I have special focus on GCC/Africa cross border transactions, as well as clients within the Aviation and Technology sectors.

My aviation sector experience extends throughout the Middle East and Europe, and I have advised many of the world's leading airlines and aviation companies on their operations internationally for the past 15 years. I also advise government entities in the GCC on aviation related matters.

Within the Aviation sector, my specialisation covers a spectrum of cross border corporate transactions, aircraft sale and purchases or leasing, financing, advice on corporate structures and local legal opinions. I also advise airlines in relation to contractual matters such as maintenance and repair, frequent flyer programs, FBO and VVIP operations.

Before moving to the Gulf, I was head of our Swedish Corporate Group in Stockholm, which has given me extensive experience of transactions across the Nordic region. I'm a member of the Swedish Bar Association, Advokat.
