Coral Yáñez

I am the Managing Partner and head of the Regulatory & Administrative team of Bird & Bird's Madrid office.

With more than 20 years of experience in Regulatory and Administrative Law, I represent Spanish and international companies in proceedings relating to a wide range of regulatory matters (Energy, Infrastructures, Public Procurement, State liability, State aid, sanctioning proceedings, etc.).

I am also an expert litigator who has brought hundreds of judicial reviews before the Spanish Courts of Justice, challenging decisions from the Spanish public authorities on a wide range of regulatory matters and having obtained a high percentage of positive judgments from the Supreme Court and the Superior Courts of Justice.

I joined Bird & Bird in 2011 from an international law firm where I was Counsel in the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructures Department, and previously worked at another global law practice.

I speak fluent Spanish, English and French.

I am being ranked in Chambers Europe and Chambers Global, Energy & Natural Resources, since 2016.
