David Pemberton

I am a newly-qualified associate in our Intellectual Property Group in London, working with clients on a broad range of intellectual property rights.

I have experience working across both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector due to my background as a pharmacist.

Before joining Bird & Bird, as a healthcare professional and operations manager, I gained invaluable experience of product life cycles, regulatory issues and negotiating B2B contracts.

In my legal career to date I have had experience in regulatory and transactional work, including research collaborations, licensing and distribution agreements as well as having been involved in litigation across a range of both IP rights and courts, from a first instance case concerning a large molecule pharmaceutical patent, to a UK Supreme Court case involving registered trademarks in sportswear.
