Fred Cascarini

I am a newly-qualified associate in our Intellectual Property Group based in London, working with clients on a broad range of intellectual property rights.

I have a wide range of experience across the main IP rights, having worked on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters covering patents, trademarks and copyright.

I have particular experience in pharmaceutical patent litigation, including having worked on a complex high court case regarding biopharmaceutical formulations. My work is also supported by specialist experience in data protection, including in-house experience in contentious privacy work through a secondment to a major international tech company.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bristol, and have substantial coding experience through both my Master's and PhD research projects. Following this, I have a particular interest in work across the life sciences, engineering, technology and communications sectors.
