I am a commercial associate specialising in the energy sector, with a particular focus on low carbon district heating, energy as a service and renewable energy projects

I am part of the Energy & Utilities sector group in London.

I have a broad range of experience of public and privately financed energy projects. I have particular experience with drafting the commercial agreements for the delivery of all stages of these projects including: project, concession, operation & maintenance, development, connection & supply and asset adoption agreements.

I have a particular specialism in the delivery of heat network projects and have advised stakeholders ranging from local authorities, NHS Trusts, energy companies, project companies, developers, investors, borrowers and customers on a broad range of schemes utilising a variety of heat generation technologies.

I have authored a number of articles on heat networks, spoken at national and international conferences and co-authored guidance for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (now Department for Energy Security and Net Zero).

My wider experience includes advising clients on commercial structuring for energy projects, including on long term strategic arrangements (including partnering and collaboration arrangements) ranging from gas and electricity distribution networks, to the delivery of multiple renewable energy projects.

As a projects lawyer my expertise includes coordinating multi-disciplinary legal advice across a range of issues and managing the processes required to achieve completion on complex multiparty schemes.

I also have experience with EU procurement law and have advised contracting authorities and bidders as part of the running of successful and compliant procurement procedures.

In 2019 I completed a secondment at a multi-national State owned sustainable energy company.
