I am a Senior Associate specialising in contracts and regulatory issues in the energy sector. Based in London, I also Co-Head the firm's international Energy Solutions practice development area.
Whilst my work is energy focused, I act for a diverse range of clients involved in, or impacted by, the regulation, generation, distribution and consumption of energy. This includes public bodies, developers, investors, industrial and commercial consumers of energy, as well as energy companies and network operators.
I am particularly drawn to energy projects that drive the energy transition. This regularly involves advising on renewable energy projects, heat networks and electric vehicle charging.
As well as drafting the commercial contracts for energy projects, I advise clients on the delivery models and structures for their projects (including on long term strategic arrangements to facilitate the delivery of projects at scale).
My experience includes a secondment at an international State-owned sustainable energy company in 2019. I regularly deliver training to clients on regulatory developments, have spoken at conferences on low carbon energy projects, and co-authored guidance on heat networks for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (now Department for Energy Security and Net Zero).
With increased regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder pressures regarding the way in which we use energy across all sectors, my role as Co-Head of the firm's international Energy Solutions practice development area involves developing a practice that remains at the forefront of helping clients achieve energy transition targets and stays on top of the challenges, developments and opportunities in this exciting area.
