I am an associate in the Intellectual Property team, working with clients in the life sciences, technology, and engineering sectors to commercialise and protect their IP rights.

The clients I work with operate in innovation-driven industries. I help them navigate complex IP issues.

My work focuses on advising biotech, pharma, and technology clients on IP commercialisation, protection, and enforcement.

I maintain a genuine interest in life sciences and technology developments and regularly attend industry events. This means I understand the issues clients are facing in their fields and can provide genuinely useful commercial and strategic advice.

A lot of my advice has involved multijurisdictional and cross-practice collaboration and coordination. This experience means I can navigate issues faced by international, as well as domestic, clients.

Having spent six months on a client secondment in 2023, I know how to provide clients with in a genuinely helpful way.

• Acted for a pharmaceutical company on international patent enforcement for two of its major products, co-ordinating advice across almost 20 jurisdictions.
• Advised a leading biotech company on agreements with major pharmaceutical companies to license and resolve global patent litigation.
• Advised multiple biotech and pharma companies on licensing (and often collaboration) agreements covering, as examples, cell therapy, mRNA/RNA technology, and various small molecules, many with international elements.
• Acted on successful defence by a US biotech company of patent infringement and validity proceedings, with subject matter assigned the highest complexity grade.
• Acted on successful appeal by a telecommunications company of a decision regarding standard essential patent licences.
