Jarno Sulasalmi

I am senior counsel and a member of our Dispute Resolution Group. I have broad experience in handling complex dispute resolution and criminal law matters, as well as arbitration.

I have gained wide ranging experience working as a lawyer here at Bird & Bird and as in-house counsel in one of the leading listed companies in the car industry. Due to my previous experience I know how I can develop and support my client's businesses and understand the needs and expectations of my clients.

During my career I have advised clients in civil disputes and criminal proceedings for over a decade in various fields of law. In the last few years I have assisted our clients in M&A and industrial sector related contract negotiations and disputes including IT matters, tenancy, share trading, damages and building contracts, as well as numerous matters regarding violation of a contract and liability for damages. I also advise our clients on contract law matters and negotiations.

In addition, I am experienced in white collar crime cases. For instance, I worked as a lawyer in the biggest trade secret violation case in Finland to date. I have also worked with matters relating to money laundering and fraud.
