I specialise in the resolution of major energy, resources, construction and infrastructure disputes and have experience advising and representing clients on complex, high-value disputes involving projects across the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

I have acted for owners and contractors in litigation and arbitration proceedings (both domestic and international) and regularly advise on the utilisation of alternative dispute resolution procedures, contract administration and claims management to avoid and manage disputes. My experience spans a number of industry sectors, including road and rail transport, airports, education, commercial, residential, retail, tourism and hospitality, conventional and renewable energy, water, IT, oil and gas, process engineering and telecommunications.

I am dual-qualified in Australia and New Zealand.

• Advised and represented a Bahraini energy company in a half-billion US dollar ICC arbitration (London seat) concerning the construction of an offshore LNG receiving and regasification terminal, including claims for variations, defects, prolongation and disruption costs.
• Advised a national oil company on delay and variation claims from the project company and EPC contractor in respect of a multi-billion-dollar electrification project in a GCC country.
• Advised a global, publicly traded energy corporation in the pre-arbitration phase with respect to significant monetary claims relating to extensions of time and variations regarding a floating production storage and offloading project.
• Advised a major developer of a $1.5 billion project in Sydney in relation to the administration of and claims under the project documents, delay and issues relating to defective design and workmanship.
• Advised and represented a battery energy storage systems developer in an expert determination concerning the interpretation of foreign exchange adjustment provisions and advising on other issues arising under the project documents.
