I'm a senior associate in our international Public Procurement group in Denmark. Through long-term project management partnerships, I specialise in effectively communicating public procurement matters to diverse project groups, each with a range of competencies and backgrounds.
I value being an integral part of the client's project management team. The close relationship provides me with comprehensive insight into the contracting entity's needs, requirements, and the broader organisational context beyond the specific project.
In my experience, this insight is essential for all phases of the procurement process, especially in complex projects. I have gained significant insight into various organisations through multiple secondments; including a utility company, an entity within the Danish Ministry of Health and the Estate Agency under the Ministry of Defence.
Each of these secondments has provided me with a key understanding of the procedures and political processes applicable to different public entities.
I advise our clients on both the Classic Directive, Defence and Security Directive and the Utility Directive.
I have been involved in numerous of negotiated procedures, beginning with defining the procurement strategy and then actively participating in the planning and execution of the market dialogues. Additionally, I have extensive experience in managing complex framework agreements with multiple suppliers.
Over the years, I have developed particular expertise in construction and infrastructure projects, driven by my interest in both construction law and design, AB92/ABR89 and AB18/ABR18. Furthermore, I have a particular passion for Biodiversity, and I am dedicated to promoting its importance within public procurement processes.
The establishment of international collaborations with colleagues across borders at Bird & Bird is truly unique. I feel very privileged to be a part of an international team across Bird & Bird's offices ensuring the delivery of the best international advice.
