I am junior associate in our Danish Data Protection team where I assist our clients on data protection law (GDPR) and on commercial issues with a focus on finding pragmatic solutions.
I assist in advising clients on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which includes, for example, data transfers to third countries, data processing agreements, and new technologies such as AI that include processing of personal data.
I have wider general experience from providing counselling within many different areas of the law.
A good legal advisor regards the law in a wider perspective and is focused on finding solutions, can put themselves in the client's place and can find pragmatic solutions to the issues. At Bird & Bird, we advise large international companies as well as small national businesses and it is important for the advisor to have an understanding of the legal and commercial challenges faced by the clients.
I joined our firm in 2018 as a legal trainee and have primarily worked with corporate law. After this, I worked at a healthcare company as part of the legal team with a focus on corporate law, competition law, marketing law and data protection law, and I assisted the DPO with data protection issues. This work has provided me with the ability to find pragmatic solutions to legal issues and has given me a commercial focus and increased business understanding. I returned to Bird & Bird and have since then primarily worked with IT law and data protection law.
I decided to study law because I want to assist clients find the best possible solution to the issues that arise in a world in rapid development. My interest lies in the digital development in general, however, I am also interested in the latest development within IT law and data protection law.
