Michael Dong

I am an associate in Privacy and Data Protection practice in our Beijing office. My practice focuses on data privacy, cybersecurity, telecommunications and M&A.

I have in-depth experience on IT projects, cloud services, Internet of Things, vehicle networks, etc. I advise multiple companies in drafting and reviewing privacy policies, employee policies, and internal compliance policies and various data related documents. I also advise on compliance assessment for multinational banks and financial enterprises, including internal investigations.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked in a leading PRC law firm for around four years, during which I was heavily involved in a number of data protection projects and M&A projects.

I am fluent in English and Chinese.
