I am an associate in the Firm's Intellectual Property group based in London. I focus primarily on Life Sciences patent litigation, and have represented clients in complex multi-jurisdictional disputes before the High Court and Court of Appeal.
I also advise clients on a wide range of regulatory matters, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. My experience encompasses orphan drugs, biologics, and other advanced therapy medicinal products, and I have worked with clients on a range of issues from marketing authorisations and SPCs to clinical trials. I contributed to several chapters of the 2023 Guide to EU and UK Pharmaceuticals Regulatory Law (8th Ed. Wolters Kluwer) and was involved in the upcoming 2025 edition.
Before entering the legal profession, I spent five years in pre-clinical research at the University of Oxford, a background which affords a distinctive advantage for Life Sciences and Healthcare clients. My academic work focused on regenerative approaches for neurological injury models such as haemorrhagic stroke and traumatic brain injury. Practically, I spent a lot of time culturing stem cells in three-dimensional matrices and developing novel biomimetic materials to treat brain and spine injuries.
My academic experience provides not only specific insights into scientific research methods but also a broader foundation that facilitates meaningful engagement with complex technical subject matter. My background allows me to align legal strategies with the realities of scientific research and ultimately the commercialisation of both innovative and generic products.
As an associate, I particularly value the relationships I have built with brilliant colleagues from a range of legal specialities across the globe. These collaborative partnerships enable me to deliver practical and commercially sound solutions by leveraging the full breadth of experience the Firm can provide.
