As a lawyer in the IP department at Bird & Bird's Milan office, my job is to protect clients' interests and assets in the best possible way. I primarily deal with patents, trademarks and trade secrets, especially with regard to litigation activities.
I work both with international and Italian clients, dealing with different issues ranging from patent matters (with particular attention to mechanical, electronic and pharmaceutical fields) to trade secrets. Since the beginning of my career, I have been involved in a number of multi-jurisdictional proceedings, which are bringing a cross-border scope to my education.
I have also developed experience in the definition and implementation of online anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy campaigns, often requiring the use and involvement of social and sales platforms.
My goal is to enhance our clients' intellectual property by putting their needs first, with an approach that privileges concreteness, clarity and spirit of collaboration.
I graduated in law (with honors) at the University of Bologna with a thesis on the industrial protection of 'Big Data' and software. Later, I obtained (with honors) an LL.M. degree in 'Law of Internet Technology' at Bocconi University. In 2017, I attended the Summer School at Harvard University, in the US.
I am a native Italian speaker and speak fluent English.
I contribute to the realization of the Kluwer Trademark Litigation Smart Charts and write for Bird & Bird's BrandWrites and PatentHub blogs.
