Rameez Rahman

I am a patent attorney with a background in computer science working in our Intellectual Property Group.

I have extensive experience in the industry, academia and research organizations. I also have published in some of the best venues in Computer science including ACM SIGCOMM and IEEE TPDS, and in my youthful years, as a software engineer, I had the opportunity to design software used by several Fortune 500 clients.

I lived, and worked, in many different countries including China, Pakistan, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. It was during my work as a researcher at Nokia Bell Labs that a patent attorney opened my eyes to the world of patents and it was then that I decided to make a career switch after several years in the field of computer science.

Before joining Bird & Bird I was working as a Patent Expert at TNO which is the premier applied science and research organization in the Netherlands. At Bird & Bird I combine my computing knowledge, my extensive writing experience and my patent expertise as a qualified European patent attorney, to cater to our clients' needs.
