As a partner in our international Public Procurement group in Denmark, I act for international bidders in winning public contracts in Denmark and assist Danish public entities and utilities companies in making smart purchases based on the procurement law.
I specialise in public procurement law, especially in the utilities sector and in the public sector. This involves any aspect connected to the purchase of goods, services and works as well as combinations of these purchases. I advise our public sector clients on a strategic level on how to target the market, how to make room for flexibility in the contractual documents during and after the procurement procedure and how to negotiate and award contracts in accordance with the procurement regulation. My assistance for our public sector clients involves drafting the contracts and/or the tender documents, leading and participating in negotiation meetings and assisting in the award of contract and drafting the documents justifying and explaining the choice of preferred bidder.
Furthermore, I advise private entities making bids on public contracts whether these are simple purchases or complex IT or infrastructure projects. Utilising my extensive experience with public clients, I assist private entities in strategic bidding and how to manage the procurement processes, including assessing both the tender material, the preliminary and final bids and participating in negotiations in accordance with the procurement regulations.
Working for both private bidders and public clients means that my work includes both making and defending legal challenges during the procurement procedure at the Complaints Board for Public Procurement as well as subsequent disputes. Also, I perform contract management of procured contracts, including advising our clients on questions regarding the understanding of the contract, claims and solving disputes either outside the courts, in court or in the arbitration designed for construction law issues.
I am regularly invited to speak at seminars and offer training regarding public procurement related topics through Advokaternes HR (Lawyer's HR) and Marcel, where the participants among other things, gain insights into the flexibility that procurement rules contain.
