The Irish Government has announced that work is currently underway to prepare the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence and Non-Personal Data Bill, which will give effect to the Data Act as well as the AI Act. 

In the Autumn 2025 Government Legislation programme, the government announced that the Heads of Bill for the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence and Non-Personal Data Bill are currently being prepared. 

No general scheme or draft of the legislation has been published yet. It is listed for priority drafting for the Autumn 2025 session.
