Romania deposited its instrument of ratification of the UPCA on 31 May 2024, making it the 18th Member State to ratify the Agreement. Romania formally joined the UPC on 1 September 2024, when the Agreement came into force.
Still not confirmed. There has been a proposal that Romania may set up a regional division with Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece, with the headquarters being in Bucharest. Romania has been considering other member states for forming a regional division.
Therefore a final decision is still to be made.
