We assisted Bocap and Tech Consulting Group TCG Oy in an investment in Quuppa Oy, a leading provider of real-time locating systems. The leading investor in Quuppa's first-ever round of funding, in which Quuppa received a growth capital of EUR 20 million, was Bocap's PK Arvonkasvattajat II fund. Entrepreneur Risto Virkkala also joined as an investor through his development company Tech Consulting Group TCG Oy.

Bird & Bird's legal advice was led in Helsinki by partner Katia Duncker. Bird & Bird's expert team also included Kimmo Sundqvist, Riikka Aarikka and Markus Majer. Founded in 2012, Quuppa is a technology company whose main products are various technical solutions related to indoor locating, which can be used to monitor, for example, the placement of employees in the organisation's interiors in near real time.

Until the current round of funding, Quuppa has been owned by its founders and employees. The company has attracted clients amongst global Asian and US technology during recent years, but indoor locating systems have also been in demand in industry.
