The Japan focus Group hosted a half-day seminar on "How to succeed in the digital world - Legal Case Studies" at the Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo on 17 October. Alban Kang (Partner, Singapore) presented on "Digital Security - Protection of Trade Secrets in ASEAN countries". Following Alban's lead, Neil Blundell (Partner, London) and Youichi Iisaka (Associate, London) took the second session and spoke about "M&A and digital disruption - market trends and the challenges for due diligence and integration".
Next Matthias Lang (Partner, Düsseldorf) shared his knowledge and experience regarding smart energy, digitalisation and data protection. The seminar concluded with Rieko Michishita (Partner, Beijing) leading a discussion in Japanese on "Intellectual Property disputes in China - recent developments in disruptive industries".
