Bird & Bird ATMD’s Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) team has advised MyRepublic on the successful divestment of its remaining 49.9% stake in MyRepublic Broadband to StarHub and together with other assets for a total consideration of S$105.2 million.
Finalised on 11 August 2025, the transaction marks a pivotal moment in Singapore’s evolving telecommunications landscape. With full ownership of MyRepublic Broadband, StarHub strengthens its market position and gains strategic control over brand equity and operational infrastructure.
Bird & Bird’s team was led by Partner Darius Tay, with support from Counsel Shu Kit and Associate Alyssa Phua. The team provided comprehensive legal guidance throughout the transaction, drawing on deep expertise in restructuring and complex corporate transactions.
