The unfavourable demographic situation and the emigration of highly qualified employees and workers constantly increases the gap in the Polish labour market. Companies are facing high demand for employees and workers, which contributes to the growing need to employ foreigners. Irrespective of the sector and size, businesses are forced to supplement staff shortages with foreign employees.
On 24 June 2022, together with the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), we delivered a seminar on an overview of the Polish immigration law landscape for representatives of Japanese companies investing in Poland.
Karolina Stawicka, MichaĆ Olszewski and Bartosz Abramowicz, from the Bird & Bird Warsaw Employment team, discussed what foreign managers should know about Polish immigration law and how companies can benefit from recent changes to the statutory provisions, which came into effect in 2022.
We would like to thank Union of Employers Shokokai for inviting Bird & Bird to deliver the seminar, and the participants for actively participating in the event.
