Aaron Mathew

I am an associate in our Corporate, Finance & Financial Regulation practices in Sydney.

I have experience assisting in complex private M&A transactions, with involvement across the entire deal lifecycle, including due diligence, transaction documentation and completion phases.

I advise both lenders and borrowers with debt finance transactions across a range of areas, including corporate finance and asset-based lending. I regularly assist on the Australian aspects of global financing structures.

I also provide advice in the financial regulation space, particularly around payments and cryptoassets.

My broad practice allows me to consider issues from a variety of perspectives. It aligns well with my goal to learn about each client's industry and circumstances when providing advice and assisting in achieving their unique business objectives.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained experience with the NSW Crown Solicitors Office, a Big Four accounting firm, and a commercial property advisor. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.
