Agathe Steinmetz

As a Trademark Attorney in the French IP team, I mainly work in Brand management, advising on and managing our clients' IP asset portfolios.

In my practice, I advise companies on the day-to-day management of their trademark and design portfolios, including conducting availability searches, supervising the filing, registration and renewal of trademarks and designs by our paralegals, advising clients on their trademark and design strategy and conducting rights audits.

I also advise our clients on pre-litigation in the field of intellectual property (trademarks, designs, copyrights) and assist them in negotiations, as well as managing opposition proceedings before the French and European IP Offices.

I work closely with Bird & Bird's foreign offices to protect French clients' intellectual property assets. In addition, I assist Bird & Bird's international offices, in particular Bird & Bird UK, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Singapore, in responding to their clients' intellectual property requests in France.

Before joining Bird & Bird in July 2021, I worked as an IP lawyer for a French public institution, as well as in several IP firms in Paris.
